The trick to cleaning silver is not just to remove (not so good) or 
reduce back to metal (better) the silver sulfide tarnish.  The trick is 
to keep it from re-tarnishing!

Treating the newly cleaned surface with a fractional percentage in 
solvent of benzotriazole adsorbs a monolayer with extraordinary tenacity 
and provides prolonged protection against re-tarnishing.  Works on 
copper, too (nice FTIR/ATR experiment - you can see the bonding.)
